Welcome to my blog. My name is Melissa and I am an early childhood teacher in Canada.  Once upon a time, I was reluctantly transferred to kindergarten and I stumbled upon my passion in teaching.  I have worked in early childhood ever since and love the freedom it provides to create hands-on, authentic learning experiences as well as teaching and learning through play.

Next to teaching little ones, teaching second languages is another of my passions.  I have taught in both French Immersion and “regular”English programs with a high population of English language learners.  Outside of school I can often be found at the dog park, on the social dance floor or scheming my next project for school, my home or my backyard.
